Ton Duc Thang University Expands International Partnerships in Slovakia
During the business trip to Europe, in addition to strengthening educational cooperation with Czech universities, from October 3 to October 4, 2024, the leadership of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) visited and expanded partnerships with prestigious universities in Slovakia, including the University of Zilina and the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU).
1. Business trip to the University of Zilina, Zilina City, Slovakia
On the afternoon of October 3, 2024, as part of the visit and working session at the University of Zilina, Zilina City, Slovakia, the delegation met with the University’s Rector and Faculties’ leaders. During the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed, formalizing cooperation in training, research, and the exchange of professors and scientists in fields such as Intelligent Transportation Systems, Transport Infrastructure Construction, Traffic Management & Logistics, etc.
The University of Zilina is a longstanding technical university in Slovakia, renowned for its expertise in transportation engineering and public traffic management. The University comprises 7 Faculties, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs to over 8.000 students in fields such as transportation, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and information technology.

2. Business trip to the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Slovakia
On October 4, 2024, the delegation of TDTU visited and worked with the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU). The University’s Rector and Faculties’ leaders welcomed TDTU delegation and discussed potential areas of collaboration between the two institutions. On this occasion, the Heads of both universities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalize cooperation in research, education and lecturer/student exchange, aiming at fostering potential collaborative programs aligned with the United Nation’s sustainability criteria and European research projects, etc.
STU is one of the oldest technical universities in Slovakia (and formerly Czechoslovakia) and is Slovakia’s leading research university in the field of technology. STU is also a member of the EULiST (European Universities Linking Society and Technology) association, in which TDTU is a close partner in Vietnam. It consists of 7 Faculties and 1 Institute of Business Management, offering undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs to over 12,000 students in fields such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry and food technology, and architecture.
