The Supervision Delegation from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Visited Ton Duc Thang University
On October 28–29, 2024, the supervision delegation from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL), led by Mr. Nguyen Duc Thinh, member of the Presidium and Head of the VGCL’s Foreign Relations Department, conducted a thematic supervision at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).
Welcoming, discussing and working with the delegation were Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of TDTU, along with representatives and leaders from various affiliated units within TDTU.
During the sessions, the delegation heard reports from TDTU leadership on three major topics within the thematic survey, including 1) Characteristics and implementation status of external relations, international cooperation, and training programs for trade union officials at the University; 2) Status and results of the 2023 external relations action plan; 3) The progress and outcomes of training programs for trade union officials (from 2022 to August 31, 2024).
After listening to the reports from Ton Duc Thang University, the VGCL delegation acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements made by the University and encouraged them to continue promoting and enhancing areas where they have shown strong performance. Representatives of the delegation also recommended that the University address existing limitations and deficiencies while suggesting some future directions for development.
During the working sessions, TDTU leaders also mentioned several challenges encountered in external relations and training processes, proposing recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the University’s external relations, international cooperation, and training programs for trade union officials at various levels.
