Discussion on the Impact of the TPP on Labor and Trade Unions

      On the morning of 14/1/2016, Ton Duc Thang University held a seminar entitled "The Impact of the TPP on Labor and Trade Unions". It was attended by Mr. Dang Trung Dung, Deputy Director of the VFDS External Relations Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Yen, ILO representative office in Viet Nam; and experts, scientists, lecturers and researchers in the field of labor relations research from research institutes. labor unions, and universities in the country and internationally.
 
      The seminar was moderated by Kent Wong, director of UCLA's Center for Labor Relations at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The TPP deals with labor and trade and impacts labor and trade unionism in Vietnam. This was also an opportunity for delegates to discuss the experiences of international trade activities of countries that have joined the TPP.
