Ton Duc Thang University Hosts the 2nd International Conference on Language Development
On July 4, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the Opening Ceremony of the 2nd International Conference on Language Development (The 2nd ICLD 2025), themed “Transforming Language Education: Wellness, Technology and Beyond.”
The Conference took place over two days, July 4 and 5, 2025, and was co-organized by Ton Duc Thang University in collaboration with Silpakorn University (Thailand), Nueva Vizcaya State University (Philippines), and Shanghai Normal University (China). The event attracted 64 academic presentations from researchers, lecturers, and experts representing 11 countries, including Australia, China, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Germany, Poland, Indonesia, Armenia, Ukraine, Malta, along with Vietnam.
Overview of the Conference
Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy – Vice President of TDTU – stated: “The conference highlights the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in language education, affirming that the integration of AI into language teaching aligns with the digital transformation trend. This not only enhances the quality of education and training but also meets the demands of international integration in the field of education.”

The Conference focused on key topics such as the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in designing innovative teaching strategies and personalizing learning environments to meet the needs and capabilities of individual learners. In addition, ethical considerations surrounding the integration of AI into education were actively discussed, alongside issues related to mental health and well-being of both teachers and students in the teaching and learning process. The research findings presented at the Conference are expected to make a meaningful contribution to the innovation of language teaching and learning methods, in line with current trends in educational development.
Building on the success of the previous conference, ICLD 2025 once again served as a platform for scholars to exchange knowledge and share research findings in the field of language studies. The Conference not only promoted and expanded academic networks for professional development, the dissemination of new research, and the encouragement of innovative ideas in education and scientific research, but also provided a forum for dialogue and collaboration among experts, researchers, and educational administrators from both Vietnam and abroad. Through discussion sessions and activities that connect academic insights with real-world practice, the conference contributed to bridging the gap between academia and society, addressing labor market demands, and laying the groundwork for the practical application of research ideas.
