Workshop "Collective Bargaining in the context of implementing new Vietnam Labor Code 2019: Experiences from different countries in the world" session 1 on May 24th, 2022
On the morning of May 24, 2022, the Faculty of Labor Relations and Trade Union, Ton Duc Thang University held the first session of the seminar with topic: "Collective Bargaining in the context of implementing new Vietnam Labor Code 2019: Experiences from different countries in the world”.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa, Dean of Faculty of Labor Relations and Trade Union, Ton Duc Thang University and all lecturers of Faculty of Labor Relations and Trade Union, experts including Dr. Richard Fincher - Instructor of Asian Studies and Dispute Resolution, Cornell University ILR, Cornell University, Dr. Arthur Wheaton - Director of Labor Studies, Buffalo Co-Lab, Cornell University ILR School, Mark Anner - Professor of Labor and Employment Relations and Political Science, Pennsylvania State University, Professor, Dr. Helena Worthen - University of Illinois, Dr. Joe Berry - University of Illinois, Dr. Michael Mauer - Senior Labor Advisor, American Association of University Professors, with lecturers from Nanhua University and students.
During the seminar, experts presented a total of 4 discussions on the following topics: Enforcing International Labor Standards in Garment Factories: Enforceable Brand Agreements and the ACT Dispute Resolution Model in Myanmar; Link between global supply chains and enterprise collective bargaining: Case of collective bargaining in Honduras; US collective bargaining in the industry of higher education; Labor Contract Negotiations in the United States: Process and Politics. The Faculty will synthesize the content of the seminar to implement the topic "Collective bargaining in the context of changing Vietnam Labor Code 2019".
